These are a few recent news headlines Democrat Adair Boroughs and her team are getting in the race to unseat South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson.  (Y’all remember Joe Wilson, right?  He was the one who shouted “You lie!” during President Barack Obama’s State of the Union speech in 2009.)

Adair was a Republican through most of her college years.  But, she won the Democratic Party nomination and endorsements from numerous current and former office holders, End Citizens United, Emily’s List, Ironworks Local 846, Congressional Black Caucus PAC, NOW PAC, and others. 

A woman hasn’t represented the district since 1963 – but in 2020, Adair Ford Boroughs is going to change that with your help.  SC-02 is one of South Carolina’s most vibrant and quickly changing districts.  The 2nd District is home to Aiken, Lexington, Barnwell, and parts of Richland and Orangeburg counties and has a population of about 700,000.

The campaign has created specially-targeted lists and given them a priority sequence.  I am certain we will be able to write to every friendly Democratic voter in this district.  But, it is nice to see that this campaign has a clear plan for different voter groups and is carrying through the execution of that GOTV plan into postcarding.

Speaking of which, they’ve been doing some postcarding on their own.  But, now that we’re writing for them, we can expand their voter outreach significantly right when it’s most advantageous to them.

We know another reason all eyes will be on South Carolina on election night.  Let’s help make the best headline for November 4, “Democrat Adair Boroughs Trounces Rep Wilson
