Campaign #85: Jesse Salinas for Yolo County Clerk/Recorder/Assessor in CA
Democrat Jesse Salinas is already the Yolo County Clerk/Recorder/Assessor. He was appointed by a unanimous vote of the Board of Supervisors two years ago. Salinas’ position comes with a longer-than-usual title. While his office does perform the duties of clerk-recorder, it also handles tax assessment and the registration of voters. That makes him officially Yolo County’s clerk-recorder/assessor/registrar of voters.
A couple of ways he’s innovated since taking office have been pickups from polling stations in the middle of the day so that election returns can be tallied faster after polls close and holding scheduled office hours throughout the community making it easier for residents to surface questions and concerns.
Having read so much about how he has led the office already makes it a lot easier to commit to helping him get elected for a full term. While the ballot will not show a “D” or an “R” after the candidates’ names for this position, Jesse is the only Democrat running.
It’s our second campaign in Yolo County, CA in the past month. But, none of the addresses in Jesse’s list will be duplicates of the list we are writing for the other candidate. Technology!
