“I’m the Special Collections Assistant at the Florida Atlantic University – Wimberly Library Special Collections Department. I came across your site via Reddit and wanted to see if your team would be interested in preserving any of your postcards for future research/use? The Special Collections has been slowly collecting ephemera and other materials from the 2016 election and onwards…”

That’s how the email started. A few more email exchanges and a couple of calls later and we worked out something we think is quite special.

They are interested in receiving postcards from each of you (one per volunteer) where you share your thoughts on:

■ the importance of voting
■ the kind of change you hope to see in the future
■ your opinion on the current state of politics in the U.S.
■ why you volunteer to write #PostcardsToVoters
■ how volunteering to boost voter turnout makes you feel

It’s super easy to participate. And you each only need to write 1 postcard. It will become part of their Special Collection for students and academic researchers to view for years to come.

Using the same techniques you use for your regular postcards, write 1 with your own thoughts to one or more of the items above. Address them to:

Our 100th campaign is a fitting occasion to look back and reflect on what it’s meant, how it’s helped, and what we hope to continue achieving together.

Whether you joined this week or last year, thanks for writing with us!
