After the disastrous election in 2016 I wanted to get involved. But life was chaotic and time was short. When I found Postcards to Voters on Facebook, I knew it was just what I needed. I could set my own hours, write when I wanted to, and didn’t feel like I was intruding on anyone by calling or knocking on doors.
I’m retired and living in upstate New York. In a small city, I have the opportunity to have an impact on life here, but through my work with PTV, I feel that I can reach out all over the country and help to elect Democrats, and there is literally nothing more important right now. Every victory has been sweet, and if the losses sting, we know we can move on and start over and try again.
I have three cats and a grown up son, who I’m happy to be living close to. I run, I quilt, I take care of a cranky old house, and I garden. I have been incredibly fortunate in this life, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to help PTV improve the lives of my fellow citizens all over the country.
