You know what they say about working against a deadline? Well, how about 4 days to write to every Democrat in Virginia’s House of Delegates District 86?

Ibraheem Samirah is the Democratic nominee running in the Feb. 19 special election to fill State Sen. Jennifer Boysko’s vacated seat.

Samirah is a first-generation Muslim American who is the son of Palestinian refugees. He was separated from his father in middle school when his father was barred from re-entering the U.S.

Turnout for any special election is low. But, with all of the headlines in Virginia lately, the concern is that many Democratic voters will be demoralized. Instead of combating voter suppression, we need to write #PostcardsToVoters to counteract voter depression.

Fortunately, the list is completely manageable in the given time frame. If everyone reading this post writes just 5 fun, friendly election reminder postcards, we can be done Monday night.
